Friday night looks (at this particular moment) like it will be a beautiful night. Why not spend it in the company of some beautiful music for a worthwhile cause?
The seventh annual Concert of Hope is being held on May 10th at the First Baptist Church at 7:30pm, and will feature a live orchestra and a collection of incredibly talented singers.
Pulling from the diverse worlds of opera, Broadway and big band music, the concert is being hosted in support of the Compassion Canada Child Survival Program in El Salvador, and the Calgary International Learning Centre.
Some of the talented musicians who will lend their skills to this event include emcee and performer Jorge Aviles from Argentina; Cowtown Opera singers Michelle Minke, Lauren Woods and Karen Minish; and many others. The evening will be filled with performances from Phantom of the Opera, the Wizard of Oz, and a number of other classic pieces.
General admission tickets are $25, available at the door, by calling (403) 279-3603 or online.
