The site of the old Mewata Stadium will rocking in September when the Tragically Hip roll through town. If you haven’t seen them live yet, you’re not truly a Canadian, and we won’t let you watch hockey, wear a toque, drink a double-double or say “eh” again until you get yourself a ticket.
The show is slated for September 9th at what is now Shaw Millennium Park, and will go ahead rain or shine. Tickets are a bit pricey – $65 for general admission, $125 with the perks like a priority entrance, VIP zone, better food and drink options, and a keepsake ticket lanyard and concert poster. It might sound high, but this is the band that brought you Blow At High Dough, right? But it’s anything but a waste of money – it’s always a guaranteed fun show. Special guests accompanying the Hip have yet to be announced.
Tickets go on sale Friday morning at 10AM.
